[Serves a different amount depending on what size you cut your cookies ]
2 cups flour 1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup salted butter, softened 3/4 cup sugar
1 egg 1 tsp vanilla

Method Step 1 Preheat oven to 325F.
Step 2 Combine flour and salt in a large bowl
Step 3 Cream the butter and sugar with a mixer, then add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Step 4 Add flour mixture and blend on low speed, do not over mix.
Step 5 Gather dough into a ball and flatten into a disk, putting it in a ziploc then into the fridge for 1 hour.
Step 6 On floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness, then cut into shape.
Step 7 Place cookies onto ungreased sheets and bake for 13-15 minutes.
Suggestions You can bake for longer and it won't be so bad.
