Step 1 Preheat oven to 325F. |

Step 2 Combine flour and salt in a large bowl |

Step 3 Cream the butter and sugar with a mixer, then add egg and vanilla and beat well. |

Step 4 Add flour mixture and blend on low speed, do not over mix. |

Step 5 Gather dough into a ball and flatten into a disk, putting it in a ziploc then into the fridge for 1 hour. |

Step 6 On floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness, then cut into shape. |

Step 7 Place cookies onto ungreased sheets and bake for 13-15 minutes. |
