Step 1a Cut up cabbage into 1/2 to 1 inch slices. |

Step 1b Cut broccoli into florets and blanch in water for 1 to 2 minutes and drain. |

Step 2 Season the wok, then add 2 TBSP of oil and wirl it around a medium flame till hot but not smoking. |

Step 3 Add the chiles and Sichuan pepper and stir-fry briefly until the oil is fragrant and spicy. |

Step 4 Add the vegetable, turn up the heat and stir fry vigorously for about 4-5 minutes, seasoning with salt and sugar. |

Step 5 When the vegetables are cooked, remove from the heat, stir in the seasme oil and serve. |
